Some links on this page earn us a commission if you buy after clicking. It changes neither the ranking nor what is written here — and we say below what we were unable to check.
We read technical sheets, applicable standards, product-safety recalls published by authorities, tests published by consumer organisations and the specialist press. We cross these sources, we record what they agree on, and we flag where they diverge.
We do not buy the products and we do not put them through their paces ourselves. No page on this site rests on a test we ran. When a page says a bed survives thirty washes, it is because a published test says so, and the link is given.
We do not display exact prices. A price carved into a static page is wrong the next day, and it is the first thing a reader checks. We give a range and the date it was recorded; outside the euro area, only the price band remains.
Some links on this site earn us a commission if you buy after clicking. Those links are flagged where they appear, not in a footer nobody scrolls to. The size of the commission enters no ranking: the criteria are published below, and none of them is called "revenue".
A recommendation that names a model dies with its stockout. We therefore name product classes and the markers that define them; the model quoted is only an example, and every recommendation says what to look for if it disappears.
